BT has revamped its BT TV app - previously known as BT TV Everywhere - to add seven more live channels, a premium Subscription Catch Up service, and a dedicated section for on-demand kids’ TV.
Customers can now use the app to stream six UKTV channels - Alibi, Eden, GOLD, Good Food, Home, and Watch - as well as the Sony Channel live.
Subscription Catch Up now includes more programmes from up to 20 of the premium channels available on BT TV, including Sony, AMC, History, Syfy, and MTV. BT also says that it's hoping to keep expanding it in the future too.
The kids' section, meanwhile, lets the nippers stream on-demand shows from channels like Nickelodeon, Disney Junior, and Entertainment One.
The old features of the app remain, such as the existing live channels and the ability to manage your YouView+ recordings remotely.
All the new content can be found on the browser, iOS, and Android versions of BT TV.
Antonia Barton, BT TV product general manager, said: "The new BT TV app is much better all round - it is much easier to use and gives you great TV shows to enjoy when you're out and about. The new kids' section is great for children, as they can find their favourite shows within a dedicated section of the app. Plus there's so much more content."
The BT TV app is available for all BT TV customers, but the live and on-demand premium content, as well as the kids' section, is only available to those with Entertainment Plus, Entertainment Max, Total Entertainment, or an Extra Box bolt-on. The exact channels and shows you can access will depend on your TV subscription.
