Sky Go is now available on Xbox One

It’s taken its time, but Sky Go is now available for Xbox One. The new app, called TV from Sky on games consoles, can be downloaded now from the apps section of the Xbox store.

The launch of the app means that Sky subscribers can finallywatch live TV and on-demand shows through their Xbox One. Bear inmind that you'll need to have upgraded to Sky Go Extra to use it.This costs an extra £5 a month, and lets you use Sky Go on up tofour devices - and your Xbox counts as one of these.

Even then, what you can watch exactly depends on thesubscriptions you have - for example, you still need a Sky Sportssubscription to watch the big game.

Similarly, you have to subscribe to Sky Movies to watch thelatest films, and Sky has a bumper batch this Christmas. It'slaunched a dedicated Christmas movie channel for those who want aregular treatment of heart-warming seasonal cheese. Star Wars fansare well-served too - Episode I - VI will be available over theholidays.

It's not clear why it's taken the Sky Go so long to launch forXbox One. It has been available on both PlayStation 3 and 4 for awhile now, and the Xbox 360 has had it even longer - it was thefirst console to get Sky Go.

Still, at least it's here now. To get it, access the store onyour Xbox One console, and find 'TV from Sky' in New Releases.Alternatively, you can use the search function to find it.
