Sky Sports to show 10 Championship games in 10 days in December

Looks like December’s looking like a bumper month for TV football. Sky Sports has announced that it will broadcast a Championship match a day for 10 days that month, starting on 9 December.

Sky Sports plans to show 19 Championship matches in December, including 10 matches in 10 days. The '10 in 10' period starts with Brighton v Leeds on Friday 9 December, and runs until Sunday 18 December's Queens Park Rangers v Aston Villa.

In total, Sky will show 19 Championship games over December, so there will be plenty to watch over Christmas and New Year.

Sky Sports head of football Gary Hughes said: "We're very excited to offer fans 19 live matches from the English Football League in December, including 10 in 10, which was a great success last season. The festive period can be one of the most pivotal in the season and our customers can see it all unfold live on Sky Sports."

Shaun Harvey, the CEO of EFL said: "League football has long been a much loved staple of the festive period and we're confident that December's TV selections will once again provide a unique platform for friends and families up and down the country to get together and watch their favourite EFL team."
