TalkTalk launches Sky Sports Season Ticket for £11 a month

TalkTalk has launched a new “Sky Sports Season Ticket” that gives subscribers all six Sky Sports channels for £11 a month over the course of the forthcoming football season.

The nine-month package includes access to 108 Premier League games and hundreds of Football League games plus other major sports events, including the upcoming US Open, the concluding tests in the Ashes cricket series, and every Formula One race. Really though, it's designed for the Premier League football fans, as it expires once the season is concluded.

TalkTalk claims the Sky Sports Season Ticket offers savings of more than £200 compared to the full-price packages on BT and Sky and is also cheaper than Virgin Media. The pass works out at 36p a day, or 92p for each Premier League game - pretty good all said.

What it doesn't have, however, is BT Sport. That means you can only watch the Premier League matches exclusive to Sky - not necessarily a problem since it has the most games, but if you want to be able to watch everything you should look to one of the other providers.

TalkTalk customers will be able to purchase the Sky Sports Season Ticket from 23 August for £11 a month. The cost will be automatically added on top of the price of TalkTalk's TV packages.

The provider's currently offers a Plus TV, broadband, mobile SIM and calls 'quad-play' bundle for just £10 a month. That gives you a 87 channels, including Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Arts, a free YouView+ box and lots of on-demand content.

Sports fans who want a more flexible service can also opt for TalkTalk's Sky Sports Boost add-on, which currently costs £15 a month. It's more expensive, but unlike the Season Ticket, it rolls monthly, so you can cancel at any time.
