About Sky Living
When it was launched in 1993, the UK Living channel was aimed at women and young adults, and seemed to show a lot of programmes about ghosts. It’s since been bought out by Sky, and added to its growing suite of entertainment channels. These days it shows a mix of entertainment, drama, and reality TV, with lots of US imports thanks to Sky’s strong links across the pond.
There are three channels available: Sky Living, Sky Living +1, and Sky Living HD.
What can I watch on Sky Living?
The majority of Sky Living’s programming comes from the USA, with a bit of British reality TV and some Scandinavian dramas thrown in for good measure - such as The Enfield Haunting.
Drama and entertainment includes Hannibal, America’s Next Top Model, The Blacklist, Grey’s Anatomy, and Scandal. You’ll also find plenty of detective shows in the form of Elementary, Bones, CSI, and Criminal Minds. Reality TV includes the likes of Nothing to Declare, Border Force, and RSPCA Animal Rescue.
How do I get Sky Living?
Most of the UK’s pay-TV services have packages that include Sky Living. Here’s how you get it:
- Unsurprisingly, Sky Living is available with all Sky TV packages - though if you want to see Tyra Banks tear down models’ egos in stunning high definition, you’ll need the Family Bundle. Everything is available with Sky On Demand as well, and you can watch it anywhere with Sky Go, which is free for all Sky customers.
- Virgin Media includes Sky Living in its Mix TV package, though, again, you’ll have to splash out for the higher-tiered Full House TV for the HD version of the channel. You’ll find it on Virgin TV Anywhere too, so you can watch it live and on demand from any device if it’s included in your package.
- With TalkTalk, you’ll get Sky Living included as standard if you choose the Plus TV package. If not, you can still get it with the help of a TV Boost - the TV Starter, Entertainment, and Entertainment Extra Boosts all provide it.
- Finally, you can also get it with Now TV, via a dedicated set top box, streaming stick, or web browser. NOW TV is also available through YouView boxes - which is the only way you can get Sky Living with a BT TV subscription.
