It's been a bumper start to the year at broadbandchoices. We have two new broadband providers listed, launched mobile with a partner, hired a new developer and written some words about mobile broadband. Let's get to it then.
Sometimes, January can be a difficult month. We return after the festive break, full of cake, cranberry sauce and, yes, more than a little wine, and have to slowly work our bodies and minds back up to full speed. Not at broadbandchoices HQ though - 2017's started at a sprint, and it's only getting faster as we head into February.
The last two months have been more stuffed than a Christmas turkey. We've signed up new providers, making our comparison service even more comprehensive. And we're working with new partners, to help even more people find broadband, TV and mobile phone deals. Plus we have new advice and guides, including loads of top tips and deals on mobile broadband.
Let's take a closer look:
New providers on broadbandchoices
Two new providers are now available to compare on broadbandchoices, giving users even more… erm, broadband choices.
Say hello to TenTel and its 'hello' broadband packages.
The provider offers up ADSL and fibre optic broadband, but what makes it really stand out is the flexibility of its packages. For example, its standard broadband is on six month contracts, or on a no-contract basis. Alternatively, you can pay for a whole year upfront, and not worry about getting another bill for 12 months.
No-contract broadband in particular is a great feature for the company to showcase. These type of 30-day packages are still quite rare, but they're perfect for people who are about to move house, want to try out a provider before they commit, or just want the flexibility to change if a better offer comes along.

Vodafone surely needs no introduction. Some may know them primarily as 'them what does the mobile stuff', but last year the company launched broadband… and made quite the splash.
Its broadband has some unique features, including the Vodafone Connect app, which lets you control your Wi-Fi to an impressive degree. You can, for example, prioritise downloads on one particular gadget, offer a guest network to let visitors get online easily, and automatically disconnect certain devices at a set time - perfect for sending the kids off to bed.

Gocompare.com now lets you go compare mobile phone deals!
Whether you're looking to get the best price on an iPhone 7, or searching for an affordable SIM-only deal, Gocompare's mobile comparison service will show you loads of options in a simple, easy to understand way. And it's powered by broadbandchoices, so you know it's pretty good.
Yes, we're biased obviously, but go see for yourself and you'll see we're right:
The broadbandchoices team gets bigger
The team continues to expand, with new people bringing new skills and ideas to the business. Also doughnuts (hint hint?).
Say hello to our new full stack software developer Michael Keenan. He's previously worked at Willmott Dixon Holdings and Storm Technologies, and less relevantly, as a cattle-hand on an outback cattle station. So he's not afraid to muck in.
Another fun fact, due to a shipping error he also owns Emilia Clarke's (also known as 'her from Game of Thrones') Louis Theroux T-Shirt. So Emilia - if you're reading this, you know who's to blame.
