Got a small business that needs to get connected? Give XLN Telecom a look. What it does best is deliver simple, straightforward business broadband packages with line rental that won’t break the bank.
While it doesn’t offer solutions for large companies - you won’t find complex communications networks here - what it can do is get coffee shops, hairdressers, and home offices online reliably.
What can I get from XLN Telecom?
Essentially, your business can get broadband and line rental. Both are available on their own or in a bundle together, and the bundled-together package can be upgraded to include fibre optic broadband.
Whatever you choose, you’ll get 24/7 UK-based customer service and tech support, and the option to add a subscription to XLN Secure - that’s XLN Telecom’s internet security software - if the package you choose doesn’t already include it.

Line rental
Need a phone line, but not internet? There are two packages available from XLN Telecom:
- Basix - Standard pay-as-you-go line rental. Perfect if you only make occasional phone calls, or if you’re more likely to be receiving them than making them.
- Max - Adds unlimited calls to UK landlines and mobiles.
You’ve also got the option to add extra calling features, including call waiting, call divert, and voicemail.
Broadband and line rental
Of course, sometimes just a phone isn’t enough, and you need to get online as well. Basic ADSL broadband from XLN Telecom is perfect for businesses where daily browsing is essential but superfast speeds aren’t.
- Basix - Up to 17Mb download speed.
- Max - Adds unlimited UK landline and mobile calls.
Both include unlimited downloads, multiple email addresses, and online security, and the option to add calling features.
Broadband only
If you need to get online to access your email (or for a quick Facebook break) but only browse a little bit each month, a broadband-only package could be a great way to save money. Bear in mind, however, that you’ll still need an active phone line, whether it’s from XLN Telecom or another provider. And look out for the download limit - if using the internet is vital for conducting business, you don’t want to risk getting caught out before the end of the month.
- Basix - Speeds of up to 17Mb, and a 20GB per month download limit.
- Max - Same as above with unlimited downloads and free online security.
Both come with multiple email addresses too.
Fibre optic broadband and line rental
Fibre optic broadband is far speedier than a standard ADSL connection, with download speeds of up to either 38Mb or 76Mb. Both fibre packages come with unlimited downloads, so you don’t need to worry about having to stop work when you hit a usage cap.
These packages are suited to businesses where you use the internet a lot, download big files, hold video conferences, or want to connect a few computers. So it’s great for a small office, a pub that shows BT Sport, or a cafe that offers Wi-Fi to its customers.
The fibre packages are:
- Basix - Standard fibre optic broadband and line rental.
- Max - Adds unlimited UK landline and mobile calls.
Again, they also include multiple email addresses, online security, and the option to add calling features.
Business mobile
Business mobile from XLN Telecom is available in SIM-only form. There are two, offering 500 or 700 ‘units’ - which can be used as either a minute or a text, so you can mix them up as you wish. And for mobile browsing, there are data bolt-ons too.
