Apple revealed the iPhone 15 Pro on 12th September 2023, with preorders opening on 15th September and a release date of 22nd September.
It comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions and is available in natural titanium, black titanium, blue titanium and white titanium.
iPhone 15 Pro design
The iPhone 15 Pro has the same striking design as the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max, just slightly smaller. As ever, Apple has brought its A game, meaning this device looks sharper and sleeker than all of its rivals. There are contoured edges, but the real news here is the move from steel to titanium, making the iPhone 15 Pro lighter and more durable.
The 6.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1179 x 2556 pixels, while under the hood it packs the same specs as the iPhone 15 Pro Max with an A17 Pro chipset.
As with the iPhone 14 Pro, the big news is the inclusion of the Dynamic Island feature, which means Apple has dropped the notch for a more nuanced approach that allows for easy notification access and the chance to use two apps in different ways simultaneously.
There’s also a clever new Action button on the side. This replaces the mute button and allows you to tap the side of the phone and use Dynamic Island to silence your device, access the camera or switch on the torch, among other shortcuts.
iPhone 15 Pro camera
The iPhone 15 Pro has a triple lens camera that takes things on from the iPhone 14 Pro. There’s a main 48MP camera, backed up with two 12MP sensors, packing up to 3x optical zoom and seven pro lenses, with the ability to change focal lengths too. This means you can take pro grade snaps that you can print, or reel off top end shots ready to post straight onto your social feeds.
With 4K video smarts and ProRes 4K skills, the iPhone 15 Pro is also excellent for TikTok, YouTube and Reels. The 12MP front facing TrueDepth camera is the best around for selfies.

Is the iPhone 15 Pro worth buying now?
The iPhone 15 Pro is about as good as it gets when it comes to smartphones, with only the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra giving it a run for its money.
That said, it is an expensive proposition. Its price won’t drop until late 2024 when a new iPhone is released, so you may decide that the more affordable standard iPhone 15, or a previous model such as 2022’s iPhone 14 Pro, is a better choice.
Can I get the iPhone 15 Pro with poor credit?
If you want an iPhone 15 Pro you will most likely have to take out a 24 or 36-month contract. And if you have poor credit, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get one this way.
The alternative is to purchase the iPhone 15 Pro outright from Apple and then pair it with a cheap, rolling 30-day SIM-only contract, as these tend not to require a credit check. This will be cheaper month by month but will require a vast outlay initially.
