Compare Huawei Mate 20 Pro deals

Huawei has gone from strength to strength with its recent handset releases, not least with the impressive Mate 20 Pro - a high-end looker which flaunts its AI chops to notable effect.

Compare deals

Packed with innovative and cool features, the Mate 20 Pro is Huawei boldly inserting itself into that very small gap between Apple and Samsung.

With its polished, curved display, the Mate 20 Pro is every inch the stylish, modern flagship phone. Utilising every pixel of its 6.39-inch full HD+ OLED screen, it’s long, thin and extremely elegant. Positioning its three cameras on the rear-side, the Mate 20 Pro has removed the rear fingerprint sensor from that side and as a result everything feels sleeker and more symmetrical.

Specs and features

To power all this excellence, the Mate 20 Pro contains the Kirin 980 processor which means you can jump between power-hungry apps without a glitch, and benefit from more efficient battery life.

Let’s take a look at what else you can expect from the Mate 20 Pro:

The Mate 20 Pro’s wraparound OLED screen looks fantastic, but the curved sides do catch reflections, which might be a turn-off. As is the fashion, there’s a reduction in bezel, so you get to appreciate the screen in almost all its entirety, and colours are sharp and vibrant.

Understandably, these days expectations of camera performance on flagship phones are high. So, it’s just as well Huawei has pulled out the stops and teamed up with German lens manufacturer Leica on the Mate 20 Pro. Three rear-facing cameras mean you’ve got all the tools and modes you need to take dazzling photos. And Huawei’s AI means you can point and identify more than 500 objects to impressive photographic effect.

Battery & storage

A large phone is crying out for a large battery - and the Mate 20 Pro’s 4,200mAh unit is a beast. Huawei claim a full charge will get you over 24 hours of talk time and over 10 hours of internet use. That’s a lot of chatting and a lot of browsing. Regarding storage, there are two options to choose from - 6GB of RAM and a huge 128GB, and a mammoth 256GB of storage, with 8GB of RAM.

Don’t expect fireworks on the Mate 20 Pro’s speaker offering though. It’s clear Huawei have channelled their energies elsewhere, which means the sound is perfectly fine but won’t win any awards.

As its top-end specs and premium good looks suggest, the Mate 20 Pro is an expensive phone - and you’re looking at the best part of a thousand pounds. But there are ways to balance out the cost through the different types of contract you can go for.

What’s the cheapest Huawei Mate 20 Pro deal?

Although the Mate 20 Pro isn’t cheap, there are ways you can manage the cost and avoid paying out heaps of money in one go.

Firstly, make sure you compare - offers change regularly, and it's always worth checking to see which mobile operator has the best deal right now.

You may find that smaller companies like giffgaff and iD Mobile have better deals, so make sure you don't just look at the big networks.

It's also worth checking out mobile resellers rather than going through a network directly. They typically sell the same plans on those operators, but at a more competitive price.

Which networks sell the Huawei Mate 20 Pro?

Here’s where you’ll find the best Huawei Mate 20 Pro deals:

EE - for a phone contract, SIM-Only, or mobile broadband deal? EE have a huge selection, and you’re bound to find what you’re looking for.

O2 - O2 have loads offers for existing customers, with a wide selection of plans available.

Vodafone - Vodafone offer a shed-load of pay monthly plans, SIM-Only offers, and 'Red' 4G plans.

Three - Whether you’re after a phone contract, SIM-only plan, or unlimited data plans, you’ll be spoilt for choice with Three.

You could also trade in your current Huawei smartphone and put the money towards one of the newer models. You can do this via mobile recycling comparison sites like CompareMyMobile or SellMyMobile. Depending on what model you have, and how intact it is, you’ll be surprised at what you can get.
