More than 11,000 people voted in the 2012 awards, telling us what they love, what they hate, and what they want from their broadband providers.

And here are the results...


While the mainstream more well-known providers like BT ( and Virgin Media ( received positive feedback from customers, it was O2 ( that showed everyone how it should be done.

O2 took the top spot in a number of awards categories, including customer service, quality and reliability, and customer service, and it was found to be the best overall.

  1. When it comes to digital TV, Sky ( continues to rule the roost.

Customers were generally positive about the satellite provider, believing it to offer the best range of channels, and being satisfied with the set-top boxes and speed of activation Sky provides.

However, customers believed that Freesat, BT Vision and Freeview all offered better customer service.
